Median or below wage earners have few choices to confront the economic and political players who have exploited and trivialized their involvement in the political economy. They have no saving deposits to withdraw. They have no way to stop paying taxes. They have no viable candidates, ones who expressly campaign on their behalf, to support. They have no powerful collective to join.
Organize. Wage earners do not have to join unions to organize. Volunteer to work with ACORN or even for a political candidate. Make your voice be heard.
Stop banking with national banks. Transfer all accounts to small, regional banks. Many of these banks avoided the subprime and ARM market, so are not likely to fail anytime soon.
Vote for third party candidates. The Democrats claim to represent wage earners, but their behavior belies their intent, which is to do whatever their money masters tell them. Wage earners owe nothing to the Democratic Party and should explore alternative political organizations like the Green Party and the Social Equality Party.
Sell something at farmers markets or on ebay for cash and do not report the income. Wall Street millionators pay less a percentage in taxes than many wage earners.
Stop purchasing products that support reactionary political ideologies. Dominos Pizza was owned by a Lefevre Catholic, who used his wealth to promote draconian domestic and economic policies, against the best interests of the clients who made him rich.
Learn how to distill alcohol. There will be little discretionary income available for leisure in the near future. But remember, drink responsibly.
